Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state :-
(a) whether the Ministry of Railways would increase the frequency of Lokmanya Tilak Express from Bhubaneswar/Puri to Mumbai from three times in a week to daily; and
(b) by when the Ministry of Railways would start stoppage of new passenger trains at all stations in Sambalpur-Angul, Kotavalsa-Kirondol and Rayagada-Koraput lines?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI RAJEN GOHAIN)
(a) At present, Mumbai is connected with Bhubaneswar/Puri by 4 pair of train services including daily service of 11019/11020 Bhubaneswar-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Konark Express. Increase in frequency of the other non-daily services is not feasible, at present, due to operational constraints.
(b) At present, there is no proposal to introduce new train services between Sambalpur-Angul, Kottavalasa-Kirandul and Rayagada-Koraput and as such provision of stoppage is not feasible. However, Sambalpur-Angul, Kottavalasa-Kirandul and Rayagada-Koraput sectors are presently serviced by 1, 1 and 2 pair of passenger trains respectively.
