IRCTC offers ‘Pilgrim Special Tourist Train’ one of the most affordable all inclusive tour package, covering all the important tourist places in the country. The Pilgrim Special tour packages costs Rs. 9,450 / – per person for standard class and 15,750 / – per person for Comfort class, which is inclusive of providing comfort of travel by train in 2nd Class and 3AC class Sleeper coach, Besides it, the cost is inclusive of following:
- Hall / Lodges / Dormitories accommodation for Standard class on multisharing basis for night stay / morning freshening up and Hotels accommodation for 3AC on Twin & Triple sharing basis at places of night stay and Quadruple sharing basis room for morning freshening up for 3AC.
- Pure vegetarian meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
- Tour escorts for announcements and information.
- Security arrangements for each coach (without arms).
- An IRCTC Official on train as train Superintendent
- Non AC road transfers on SIC basis.
- Travel insurance.
Package Exclusions:
- Items of personal nature, i.e., laundry, medicines.
- Entrance fee for monuments.
- Service of Tour Guide.
- All services not mentioned in the Package Inclusions.
Note: Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will be issued by IRCTC for the tourists who avail the Pilgrim Special Tourist Train Tours (only the Train Fare & Road Transfers will be admitted) after completion of the tour.

Terms and Conditions:
- Being a cost value package, personalized service is not viable; hence please converge with the group. In case of any assistance required do contact our tour Managers.
- Kindly queue up while boarding the busses and don’t rush at the accommodation centre. It is the duty of the co-passengers to provide seats first for the Handicapped and older people. Please do not request our representative for blocking any seat.
- You should adhere to the time announced by the tour Representatives, failing which you will have to come to the next destination on your own expenses.
- While travelling, there might be some delay in providing food, so old people & diabetic passengers may carry some refreshments.
- Please keep yourself patient and calm during the tour journey and speak politely to all other tourists, staffs and officers on duty. Avoid any unlawful arguments and disquieting the beauty of tour programme.
- There may be changes in sightseeing that may be caused due to situations which may arise & the same has to be adhered to.
- You should carry an Identity Card (Voter Card, Driving License, Pan Card, Passport or any Govt. Identity Card) while travelling, this is for verification when needed.
- In case of any problem arising due to some natural calamity or abnormal situation, alternate arrangements will be made for which extra cost is to be borne by the tourists.
- The passengers will have to bear all medical expenses incurred on them, if need arises.
- Please carry your own bedding, regular medicines, doctor’s prescriptions & contact number, torch, umbrella, lock & chain for securing luggage, nylon rope for drying clothes, and water bottle to stock drinking water.

Generic preventive measures:
The generic measures include simple public health measures that are to be followed to reduce the risk of COVID-19. These measures need to be observed by all supporting staff and tourists during tour package services at all times.
- Adequate Physical distancing to be followed as far as feasible.
- Use of face covers / masks to be made mandatory.
- Practice frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 40-60 seconds) even when hands are not visibly dirty. Use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) can be made wherever feasible like train / transport / stay etc.
- Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing / sneezing with a tissue / handkerchief / flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly.
- Self-monitoring of health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest to Tour Manager and IRCTC helpline.
- Spitting shall be strictly prohibited.
- Installation & use of Aarogya Setu App. shall be advised to all (supporting staff & tourists).
- The guest shall be encouraged to carry limited luggage while going on tour and those luggage should be compulsorily sanitized before taking back to the train. The security staff engaged for the coaches shall be held responsible for the sanitization of hand baggage and luggage carried by the guests.
- Tourist should wash their hands and feet with soap and water before entering any religious premises.
- Proper disposal of face covers / masks / gloves left over by visitors and / or employees should be ensured.
Safety Guidelines- IRCTC staff & Tourists:
Following information must be displayed in the booking portals IRCTC and same to be advised by the booking agents at their premises for knowledge of guests before undergoing any package booking:-
- Persons above 65 year age, person with comorbidities, pregnant woman and children below the age of 10 years are advised to stay at home.
- Only asymptomatic staff and guests shall be allowed to travel.
- Declaration at the time of commencing the trip that the guest does not have Covid-19 infection. The health declaration form for taking consent about the same is attached as Annexure.
- Undertaking that the guest will abide to the directions of IRCTC to control the spread of Covid-19.
Do’s & Don’ts list:
A list containing Do’s & Don’ts may be sent two day in advance from the date of journey / commencement of trip via e-mail / SMS and hardcopy may be given to each tourist at the time of boarding with following points-
- Installation & use of Aarogya Setu App. by all (Staff & tourists).
- Tourist should wear face mask and hand gloves.
- Practice frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 40-60 seconds) even when hands are not visibly dirty. Use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) can be made wherever feasible.
- Luggage should be disinfected at reception / boarding point, ensure use of gloves while handling of luggage.
- Tourists are advised to avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth with their hands.
- All tourists have to abide to the mandatory health advisories issued by the States / Local administration which they are visiting.
- The guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, DGCA and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding COVID- 19 on time-to-time basis may also be followed for better understanding of the COVID- 19 situation in the country.
- Tourist should avoid using other tourist’s phone, water bottle, umbrella etc as much as possible.
- Social distancing to be followed during boarding / de-boarding of train / any other transport, monuments & pilgrim places visit, group lunches / dinners etc.
- Loitering and crowding should be avoided in train corridors, gates, cabins, hotels / dharmashala etc.
- All tourists are advised that spitting is strictly prohibited in train, tourist places, buses, hotels / dharamshala etc.
- Touching of statues / idols / holy books etc. not allowed in religious / tourist places.
- Avoid physical contact while greeting each other. Greet the tourists saying ”Namaste”. No shaking of hands is recommended.
