National Rail And Transportation Institute (NRTI) Admission Notice, Eligibility, Apply, Admit Card, Entrance Test, And Fees 2019-20 Details

National Rail & Transportation Institute is inviting applicants for Academic Session 2019-20 through Entrance test scheduled on 30th June across the country.

ADMISSION NOTICE

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Last date to apply for the NRTI UG Entrance test: June 15, 2019
  • Admit Cards for the Entrance test available for download on NRTI website: June 22, 2019 onwards
  • NRTI UG Entrance test: June 30, 2019
  • ADMISSIONS OPEN for AY 2019-20

PROGRAMMES

NRTI offers two 3-year undergraduate degree programmes:

  • BBA in Transportation Management
  • BSc in Transportation Technology

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility to apply for these programmes is as follows:

BBA in Transportation Management All Streams
10 + 2 with Math
BSc in Transportation Technology Science Stream
10 + 2 with Math
Applicants must have successfully completed their 10+2 Board examination with at least 55% marks (50% for OBC/SC/ST) and be below the age of 25 years as on August 1, 2019

STEP 1 : REGISTRATION
To begin the process, you must register your contact details (Name, Age, Email Address & Mobile No.) through the following link .

Once complete, you will receive an email and SMS with an assigned LOGIN ID and PASSWORD, and further instructions to complete the application process, as detailed below. Keep your Login ID and PASSWORD secure as you will require it later.

STEP 2 : APPLICATION FILLING AND PAYMENT OF ENTRANCE TEST FEE

Click on the following link , login with your assigned LOGIN ID and PASSWORD.

The application consists of 5 sections:

  • Personal Details
  • Contact Details
  • Education Qualifications

Here you will choose the undergraduate degree programme you wish to apply for, subject to your eligibility. If you are interested, you can provide your first and second preference for your choice of undergraduate degree programme. Based on merit, you will be considered for admission to the degree programmes in your order of preference.

Document Upload & Selection of Preferred Test Centre

Here you will be required to upload your photo, signature and relevant documents. You will also select your first and second choice for the city/location for taking the Entrance test. All efforts will be made to allot you the centre of your first choice of centre however, due to capacity constraints or other unavoidable reasons, if you are not allotted your first choice of centre, then your second choice of centre will be allotted.

Payment of Entrance Test Fee

Here you will be required to make an online payment for the Aptitude Test of Rs 500 for GEN/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Once your payment is made, your application will be complete, and you will receive email and SMS confirming your payment and Application No.

STEP 3 : DOWNLOAD ADMIT CARD FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST

From June 22, 2019 onwards your Admit Card for your allocated test centre location will be available for download on the NRTI website.

You must download the Admit Card, and carry a printout of the same with you to your allocated test centre on June 30, 2019.

NRTI UG Entrance Test

  • The Entrance Test will be administered on June 30, 2019 at multiple location (~25 centres) across the country.
  • The Merit list Rank for respective categories (GEN, OBC, EWS, SC, ST) will be based on Entrance test scores, and will be published on the NRTI website. Provisionally selected students will be called for counselling on July 26, 2019 (tentative) at the NRTI campus, Vadodara. If there are any vacant seats after 1st round of counselling, waitlisted students will be called in the order of merit for the 2nd round of counselling on August 9, 2019 (tentative).
  • Classes for AY 2019-20 will commence on August 26, 2019

105 students across the BSc and BBA Programmes

RESERVATION

The admissions in the undergraduate programmes at NRTI are based on merit. However, applicable reservation of seats for EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and Kashmiri Migrants as per Central Government regulations will be applied.

FINANCIAL AID

NRTI offers financial aid for up to 10% of students admitted in the AY 2019-20, for each of the following family income slabs:

Eligibility Slab 1. Gross family annual income < INR 1,00,000

  • 100% Tuition Waiver
  • 50% Hostel Fee Waiver

Eligibility Slab 2. Gross family annual income between INR 1,00,000 and < INR 3,00,000

  • 50% Tuition Waiver
  • 25% Hostel Fee Waiver

Financial aid recipients will be based on eligible applicants’ ranking in the NRTI aptitude test. 20% of the seats available for financial aid, under each Slab, are reserved for female candidates.
