South Central Railway-Handloom Stalls Setup at 5 Stations
These Exhibition Stalls have been setup to depict the symbol of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”
South Central Railway has setup Temporary Exhibition cum Sale stalls at Five Railway stations of the Zone, exclusively for the purpose of exhibition cum sale of Handloom/Khadi products by Government bodies. This initiative has been taken to commemorate 75 years of Independence “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” to portray the concept of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
In total, 75 Railway stations across the country have been identified to setup Handloom stalls by the Railway Board, out of which Five Railway stations fall under South Central Railway. These Railway stations are – Secunderabad, Kacheguda, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Tirupati. The details of the stalls set up by Government bodies are –

Government of India has taken up the initiative to promote the Handloom & Textiles which are produced locally. Accordingly, Ministry of Railways has decided to setup these exhibition stalls at important Railway stations across the Nation to have the maximum reach to the public and also decided not to collect any License fee from the vendors for establishing these stalls in the Railway premises
Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR has expressed his happiness in SCR taking part in “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. He advised the Railway officials to assist the vendors in promoting the locally produced handloom & textiles for showcasing the same to the public to have an extended reach of their quality product. He also congratulated the Railway officials in taking part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations, duly representing “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
