Who Are Allowed To Travel In Local Train In Mumbai From 22-04-2021

Central Railway: Categories Permitted to travel in local trains- as per state government notification (Break the Chain) dated 21.04.2021

Sub: Revised list of categories permitted to travel by Local trains over MMR region.

Ref: Government of Maharashtra’s Order No. DMU / 2020 / CR-92 / DisM-l, Dated 21.04.20201 (Break the Chain).

With reference to the above and in supersession of earlier instructions on the subject, only following categories of people will be allowed to use local trains (except long distance trains) from 8pm on 22nd April, 2021 to 7am on 1st May, 2021

1. All Government Personnel (State / Central / Local) – Tickets / passes to be issued on the basis of a government issued Identity Card only.

2. All Medical Personnel (Doctors / Paramedics / lab technicians / hospital and medical clinic staff etc) – Tickets / passes to be issued on the basis of Identity Card issued by concerned medical organisation.

3. Any persons needing medical treatment or specially abled persons and one person accompanying the needy.

Tickets for local trains will be issued only through counters. Ticketing through JTBS, ATVMs and UTS App to be disabled until further notice.
